Yuma Territorial Prison

Site Summary: The site of the U.S. Army Quartermaster's Depot, Yuma Crossing distributed material from California to military posts in Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Texas. The site was also a telegraph and weather station for the Army Signal Corps.

The Visitor's Center features a museum of transportation with a 1907 steam locomotive engine, as well as artifacts relating to the Quartermaster's Depot and Army Signal Corps.


Getting There:
Take I-8 to Yuma / Winterhaven 4th Avenue exit. Go south on 4th Avenue 1/2 mile. Park is located on the east side of 4th Avenue.
