Nearby Heritage Sites:

Site Summary: Charleston and Millville were founded in 1879 to process ore taken from the silver mines around Tombstone, and boomed for less than ten years. Little is left of either site today, but visitors can still see the stone embankments for the two mills and some of the remains of Charleston among the mesquite trees.

Getting There:
To reach Charleston, park in the parking lot just east of the San Pedro River along Charleston Road. Follow the river north for about one mile. The site is located on the west side of the river on a very steep cut-bank.
