Welcome to the Center For Desert Archaeology's Digital Library Just as traditional libraries exist to share knowledge, our digital library represents an effort to freely share information about preservation archaeology with the general public, educators, and professional researchers. Currently, our library is organized around four main areas of content:
- Newsletters
Archaeology Southwest. Our traditional "hardcopy" full-color members' magazine, published quarterly, that explores topical issues in the archaeology of the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico. Back issues prior to 1998 are available in PDF format for free from the menu on the left. For a year's subscription and unlimited access to more recent issues, join the Center today!
Preservation Archaeology News. This free quarterly e-newsletter focuses on the Center's current activities in preservation archaeology. Request a free subscription by clicking on the "Sign up Now" button to the left, or use the side menu to link to current and back issues.
Southwest Archaeology Today Continuing the legacy of Brian Kenny's "Got Caliche" news service, Southwest Archaeology Today is a free e-mail news service providing its subscribers with summaries and links to current news and topics relevant to southwestern archaeology from throughout the world. Sign up for free delivery by clicking on the "Sign up Now" button to the left, or use the side menu to link to current and back issues.
