RESIDENTS OF THE DODGE BOARDING
HOUSE were mostly middle class, white collar
individuals and families. The artifacts found in
backyard pits provide clues about their lives that do
not survive in written records.
THE CERAMIC VESSELS used by the Dodge
Boarding House residents included many with
expensive decorations.
