Remington New Model Army, 44 caliber revolver, made between 1858 and 1875 (ASM 2005-502-195).

THE SIQUEIROS-JÁCOME FAMILY lived in a house over the presidio site between 1866 and 1911. Excavation of privy and borrow pits in the backyard yielded many artifacts discarded by family members.

VIOLENT CRIMES were frequently reported in Tucson newspapers in the 1870s and 1880s. Soledad Jácome may have obtained this revolver
for personal protection.
