Aranama polychrome sherd with the
Arabic word "Allah," A.D. 1790-
1830 (ASM 2005-502-82).
Majolica dishes brought color to the tables of
Tucson families. This type of pottery originated in
Moorish Spain and was brought to the New World,
with ceramic vessels manufactured in the Mexico
City and Oaxaca areas.
