502-107).
THE SIQUEIROS-JÁCOME FAMILY lived in a house over the presidio site between 1866 and 1911. Excavation of
privy and borrow pits in the backyard yielded
many artifacts discarded by family members.
CHILDREN'S TOYS from the Siqueiros-Jácome
rowhouse and the Dodge Boarding House suggest
that people wanted durable toys that could be inexpensivly refurbished. Dolls heads like this one could be fitted with easily replaced cloth bodies.
