Jacquie M. Dale, Preservation Archaeologist

Regional Coordinator for the Arizona Site Steward program in the Lower San Pedro region, Preservation Archaeologist Jacquie Dale also lives in the San Pedro River Valley. She is pursuing a doctorate in education at Simon Fraser University. Her dissertation focuses on how the practice of public archaeology can be better informed by sociocultural theories of learning. Her current areas of interest include the use of the Internet as a tool for public archaeology, building ties between archaeologists and communities, understanding how the public engages with the past, and curriculum development. Jacquie has conducted archaeological fieldwork in Arizona, Belize, Peru, France, Britain, British Columbia and Ontario.
